The stages are indoors which means space to dance and no problems with the weather!

The Firebirds-Saturday 

The Rockin Stage

Recognised as one of Europe’s top Rock n Roll bands The Firebirds are Jim Plummer, Dan Plummer and Jason Bryant three first class musicians/vocalists able to cover the complete spectrum of music from the 1950s and 1960s, Commercial, Rockabilly, Harmonised Doo Wop, Instrumentals, Ballads, and self-penned number’s.

Bamboozle- Saturday

The Rockin Stage

Bamboozle are a new and exciting 1950's influenced rocking band with a modern sound, bringing together some of the county's top musicians and internationally renowned songwriter, Jim Knowler. Bamboozle artfully combine traditional swing music with rockabilly, jazz and rich harmony, to create a full sound that is energetic and vibrant, and put on a show to keep audiences entertained all night long. They release of their debut album in January 2019, Bamboozle are injecting new material to keep the vintage scene alive and kicking.

Moonshiners- Saturday

Moonshiners were formed in January 2017. The Duo was formed so we could both follow our dream of becoming full time musicians.

Giving up our day jobs of over 18 yrs and hitting the streets in the day and pubs/Clubs by Night to become full time Street entertainers has proved to be a great success, making us very popular in the Towns and Cities up and down the country.

With years of experience behind us both playing in various bands we have managed to form a great vocal Harmony Duo, this making us one of the newest and different type of entertainers on the current rock n roll circuit today

Rockin’Em are an exciting three piece 50’s Rock’n’Roll Band performing all over the UK and Europe, so far entertaining audiences in Holland, France, Germany, Belgium & Italy ! These guys are guaranteed to stir up Nostalgic memories of the 50’s even if you are not old enough to remember that far back ! Rockin’Em will have you Jiving, Bopping, Strolling and having a ball with great authentic sounds of Rock’n’Roll !

Velocity Brown & The Hot Rods- Sunday

If you’re blasting in from outa-the-blue, you may be wondering just who Velocity Brown and the Hotrods are? Well, you crazy cats ‘n’ kittens, think Atlantic, Modern and Federal Records circa ‘55, because here comes the genuine article folks. From Gospel, Blues, Jump-Jive and R&B lineage, Velocity Brown and the Hotrods embody the authenticity that is so craved by the rockin’ scene today. But don’t just take our word for it, buckle-up and come and see for yourselves!

Phil Haley and His Comments- Sunday

Phil haley & his comments were formed in 1994 so 2019 is the 25th anniversary of the band..since forming the band have played all over the uk at some of the top venues and weekenders. .inc..shake.rattle & roll..Americano festival..kings of rock n roll..etc...also all over Europe.Scandinavia.Russia..Australia 8 times and the USA including viva Las vegas 21..all ready in 2019 the band have some big events booked...with a combined age of 243 and over 50 years combined in the music business..a killer stage act...that's why when booking or seeing them you get the best...!!!

Razor Holler- Sunday

Razor Holler was formed by four musicians hungry to venture outside the “norm”,play 1950s music that other bands don’t play but audiences can still dance to.The band comprises of Rusty Williams-rhythm guitar&lead vocals,Helen Blank-double bass&vocals,Danny Ibison-lead guitar&vocals and Alan Bentley-drums&vocals.

Playing rock’n’roll,rockabilly,western swing, bluegrass and r&b,Razor Holler strive to please each and every person attending their gigs.Our aim is to simply play and enjoy our music so everyone out there enjoys it too.

These Rockabilly rapscallions from County Durham have a diverse stockpile of musical influences but fuse together to form a Rockabilly, Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues playing Trio who pride themselves on playing the old tunes that they love just as they sounded back in the day. Expect foot stomping hits from various Sun Records artists such as Warren Smith, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Elvis, along with some Chuck Berry, Sid King & The Five Strings, Johnny Burnette, Eddie Cochran, Jimmie Rogers and many more.

Leeds City Stompers- Saturday 

Victory Stage

The Red Hot Blues Band from Leeds West Yorkshire. The band mixes their love of the music of the 1920s, 30s, 40s & 50s to bring a wide ranging and danceable set of blues, jazz, ragtime and swing. A favourite at blues and jazz festivals all over the UK the band look forward to sharing their songs in York.

Miss Marina Mae- Saturday

Miss Marina Mae has been entertaining the troops at WWII events across the country for over 10 years; with her tributes to Judy Garland, Vera Lynn and Gracie Fields. With her authentic costumes and sparkling stage presence Marina will have you singing and dancing along to your delight!

The George Formby Experience- Saturday

First & Foremost lookalike entertainer commemorating Great British comedy legend George Formby with a plethora of jolity song classics and blistering banjo-ukulele.

Martyn Roper- Saturday 

Victory Stage

A sit down one man band in the style of Joe Hill Lewis, Abner Jay and Jesse Fuller with foot drums, guitar and banjo. Martyn mixes blues, swing, ragtime, folk and rock and roll to produce his own lo-fi and hard driving sound.

Paul'Peaky'Shelby- Saturday & Sunday

Victory Stage

Paul 'Peaky' Shelby favours the Big Band songs of Sinatra, Dean Martin and Nat King Cole, amongst others. An ex bass section singer of Saddleworth male voice choir and classic car enthusiast, enjoys promoting and encouraging newcomers to a go in the wonderful vintage scene

Ashby Tea Dance Band-Sunday

Let the Tea Dance Band take you back to an era where social dancing was the order of the day. Quicksteps, Foxtrots and Waltzes, along with swing favourites from the 1930s and 1940s

Johnny Victory- Sunday

Victory Stage

Johnny Victory has been performing vintage music for over 15 years. He has a repertoire across the 1900s-1960s and performs in period clothing to match each genre. Join him for selections from the 20s, 30s and 40s. With strong vocals and a warm personality Johnny’s shows will get you singing and dancing

Laurence Marshall-Both Days on the Victory Stage & Outside

A traditional style one man band originating from Scarborough. Laurence plays tunes ranging from early jazz through to rock n roll all with a one man band style with banjo, honky horns and plenty of silly whistles

Vintage Rewind-

Both Days on the Victory Stage

Vintage Rewind are a vintage entertainment team based in South Lancashire, DJing and singing all the great dance tracks from the 20's through to the 70's

They organise and host evening events and tea dances playing musical vintage classics from the golden era of Big Band Swing, Lindy, Shag, Jive, Rock n Roll and all your favourite strolls

Cliff Cadillac-

Both Days on the Rockin Stage

Cliff has been collecting records since the 1960’s especially 78’s.

In the past he presented the Vintage Rock’n’Roll Show on Radio Trent in Nottingham. 

He started his own record label “Cruisin’ The 50’s”  reissuing rare 78’s mainly for the Jukebox market. He DJ's with 78's playing the Best of Rhythm & Blues - Rock’n’Roll - Rockabilly - Jump Jive - Strollers and Boppers.

We have Dance Lesson & Demonstration in various locations across the Festival but we are delighted to announce a new space dedicated to Dance Lessons & Workshops. The Vintage Dance Hall  will offer a programme of free lessons in addition to lesson in the Rockin Stage area.

A unique vintage inspired barbers shop, located in Hebden Bridge, Jack will be bringing his Popup salon to the Festival again. Offering vintage and contemporary hair styling, always a warm welcome and service with a smile.

No need to book, Jack will be working hard both days to keep the gents looking dapper.

Every year, more and more of our visitors join in with the spirit of the Festival by wearing Vintage Attire. In fact many regulars festival goers spend days before planning their outfits to perfection for the weekend. This really is the event where you can dust off your best bib & tucker and make a statement about your favourite era.
